Ingredients in Detail
13 strains of lactobacillus bacteria
Immunity Fuel contains 13 strains of good friendly bacteria. Most yoghurts only contain Acidophilus, and most other probiotic products only contain a few of the strains. These bacteria work in harmony as some strains need nutrients that are generated by others in order to perform their tasks. More importantly each of their food sources (all of which are contained in Immunity Fuel) need to be present so that the bacteria will live in harmony with one another and not kill each other off to protect their food source.
Bacteria are the first line of defence of the immune system. A proper balance of bacteria in the intestinal tract is the single most important issue in maintaining good health. They are responsible to provide essential enzymes, to make nutrients available to the body, to clean up cholesterol, to manufacture B vitamins, to clean out the lower bowels of encrusted matter, to destroy bad bacteria and eliminate toxins in the body just to name a few of their functions. Most disease begins in the gut or colon and it is the good bacteria's job to insure a healthy gut and colon. All life on the planet depends upon the proper balance of bacteria being present including the human body.
Beneficial Bacteria reside in the body's Intestines and can endogenously manufacture Vitamins:
Biotin, Choline, Folic Acid, Inositol, Para Aminobenzoic Acid (PABA), Vitamin B2, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, and Vitamin K.
Therefore the single most important step in maintaining a healthy body is the daily replacement of good bacteria that are contained in Immunity Fuel.
Over 18 years of research and 2.5 million dollars of investment was spent to develop a super strain of bacteria that is contained in Immunity Fuel. The main killers of bacteria were identified, which include anti-biotic therapy, colas, synthetic ascorbic acid, heat, cold, fluorides, chlorine's, preservatives, salt, alcohol and stress, and through a unique process the bacteria contained in Immunity Fuel have been evolved to be resistant to most of these killers.
This resulted in a super strain of bacteria that have the power to overcome even the most stubborn bad bacteria and yeast. We have one of the only organic bacteria strains in the world. They have not been genetically altered and they are obtained from fruits and vegetables, unlike most others, which are grown out of faecal matter. These are living viable bacteria eager to re-colonize your gut and provide you with a healthy intestinal environment that will promote wellness.
2 Strains of Beneficial Yeasts
Saccharomyces boulardii is an internationally acclaimed probiotic used in the treatment of diarrhoea, IBS, IBD and Candida overgrowth. Although S. boulardii is a yeast itself, studies have shown it to reduce the levels of C. albicans (which causes candida overgrowth in the body) by up to 90%.
S. boulardii is used for treating and preventing diarrhea, including infectious types such as rotaviral diarrhea in children, diarrhea caused by gastrointestinal (GI) take-over (overgrowth) by "bad" bacteria in adults, travellers diarrhea, and diarrhea associated with tube feedings. It is also used to prevent and treat diarrhea caused by the use of antibiotics.
S. boulardii is also used for general digestion problems, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel syndrome (IBD, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis), Lyme disease, a bowel disorder called relapsing Clostridium difficilecolitis, and bacterial overgrowth in short bowel syndrome.
Some people use S. boulardii for lactose intolerance, urinary tract infections, vaginal yeast infections, high cholestoral levels, hives, fever blisters, canker sores, teen-age acne.
A probiotic in terms of its beneficial effects, S. cerevisiae has many properties from the most basic to highly advanced. This nutritional yeast is high in protein, fiber, B vitamins and folic acid, as well as being gluten-free. It also has the presence of beta-1,3 glucans, which have been shown to stimulate the body's immune system as well as being capable of lowering LDL cholesterol levels, assisting in the healing of wounds and aiding in the prevention of infections. Several studies indicate that beta-glucans can prevent the formation of tumors and the development of cancers.
Raw organic whole foods
Lowers total serum Cholesterol levels by washing away Bile Acids in the Digestive Tract that would otherwise be converted to Cholesterol. Reduces serum LDL Cholesterol levels (due to Beta-Glucans) [scientific research - humans - oats can reduces serum LDL levels by up to 18%]. Reduces the craving for Tobacco [scientific research - humans: after one month of consumption of Oats, the craving for Tobacco diminished and this diminished craving for Tobacco continues for 2 months after cessation of Oats supplementation]. Oats alleviate Diarrhoea and Oats stabilize Insulin levels.
High in fiber for regularity, lower cholesterol, & intestinal protection.
Spirulina suppresses the proliferation of Candida albicans.
Spirulina reduces total serum Cholesterol levels and lowers LDL Cholesterol levels.
Spirulina alleviates Hypoglycaemia by increasing blood sugar levels and increasing the endogenous production of Insulin (due to Glycogen) [anecdotal].
Flax Seeds (Linseed)
Flaxseed is one of the richest known sources of Omega 3 and Omega 6. These are essential fatty acids that the body needs to secure from the foods we eat, and are essential for proper infant growth and development. Omega 3 has also been shown to protect against hypertension and inflammatory and auto-immune disorders. Research also suggests it may offer protection from both coronary heart disease and stroke. Flaxseed is high in fibre and rich in protein and is a known cholesterol lowering agent. It is a rich source of lignans which is a type of phytoestrogen which may protect against cancer particularly breast and prostrate cancer.
Flaxseed may inhibit the development of some forms of Cancer. Flaxseed may alleviate disorders of the colon, prevent and reverse constipation and improve digestion, and stabilize blood sugar levels.
The iron, phosphate, calcium, magnesium, manganese, zinc and vitamin K content present in chickpeas all contribute to building and maintaining bone structure and strength. The high fiber, potassium, vitamin C, and vitamin B-6 content all support heart health. Chickpeas contain significant amounts of fiber, which helps lower the total amount of cholesterol in the blood, thereby decreasing the risk of heart disease. Most of the fiber in chickpeas is insoluble fiber, which is great for digestive health. Individuals who eat chickpeas typically have better blood sugar regulation since chickpeas are so high in fiber and protein.
The mung bean belongs to the legume family. They have a high protein content and contain the minerals Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium, Copper, Selenium, Iron and Zinc. They also contain vitamins Folic Acid, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B1, and Protease Inhibitors.
Health Benefits: Many women are magnesium deficient and need this important mineral to help deal with stress and for muscle repair. Folate and B6 are important in pregnancy. Most Legumes prevent the absorption of some dietary cholesterol (due to Galactomannans). Legumes are excellent Insulin regulators and most legumes can alleviate Diabetes Mellitus by regulating the body's use of Insulin. Most legumes can help to prevent cancer by counteracting carcinogens in the intestine (due to the Protease Inhibitors).
Alfalfa inhibits the absorption of dietary Cholesterol and retards the body's production of endogenous Cholesterol (due to Saponins) [scientific research - animals].
Barley grass has an incredible concentration of vitamins, minerals, trace elements, protein and live enzymes. It contains ideal concentrations of potassium, calcium, magnesium, and iron. One of the important functions of minerals in the body is to maintain the essential balance between acid and alkaline. When this balance is upset cell metabolism is jeopardized. Barley Grass has a extreme amount of alkalinity - nearly twice as much as Spinach. The vital alkaline balance insures proper synergism of vitamins and minerals and promotes optimal assimilation of minerals. Barley grass is high in Vitamin C and protein and is an internal cleanser with anti-inflammatory effects.
It is also high in Carotene, B vitamins, biotin, Folic Acid, Pantothenic Acid, Nicotinic Acid and Chlorine. It is also high in S.O.D. (Superoxide dismutase) an important enzyme. These combinations make this ingredient a powerful anti-oxidant.
Barley Grass may assist to alleviate constipation and flatulence, and Barley water alleviates the pain of kidney stones. Barley helps to prevent some forms of Cancer (due to Protease Inhibitors suppressing the action of various carcinogens within the intestinal tract). Barley interferes with the Liver's manufacture of LDL Cholesterol (due to Beta Glucans) [scientific research shows it can reduce serum LDL by up to 18%].
Wheat grass is extremely high in chlorophyll and has a molecular structure very similar to the haemoglobin of human blood. Chlorophyll is the blood of the plants and is extremely rich in nutrients. It is a known detoxifier and helps promote cleansing of toxins from the cells. Also high in anti-oxidants, high in Vitamin C, Vitamin A and S.O.D. It is an intestinal cleaner with anti-inflammatory effects. it contains the minerals Calcium, Magnesium and Iron.
